Elizabeth Brenda "Liddy" Holloway (born March 27, 1947 – died December 29, 2004) was a talented actress and writer from New Zealand. She was well-known for her roles in TV shows and movies. Liddy also wrote scripts for television.

Liddy Holloway was born in Wellington, New Zealand. Her father, Phil Holloway, was a politician. Liddy first worked as a journalist. Later, she decided to become an actress. She had a long and successful career in theatre.

Working in Australia and Hollywood

In the early 1980s, Liddy also acted in Australia. She appeared in movies like Squizzy Taylor and The Clinic. She also had guest roles in the Australian TV show Prisoner. Liddy even wrote some scripts for Prisoner.

For a short time in 1990, Liddy moved to Los Angeles. She wanted to try acting in Hollywood. However, she did not stay there for long.

Liddy Holloway became known around the world for her role as Hercules' mother. She played Alcmene in the adventure series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. She appeared in this show from 1995 to 1998.
