Lila Garrett (born November 21, 1925 – died February 1, 2020) was an American writer for television. She was also a radio host. Lila Garrett wrote for many popular TV shows. These included funny shows called sitcoms.

Some of the sitcoms she wrote for were The Second Hundred Years, My Favorite Martian, All in the Family, and Bewitched. She also helped write a Disney TV movie called The Barefoot Executive in 1971.

Lila Garrett's Activism

Lila Garrett was a strong voice for peace. She was known as an anti-war activist. This means she worked to stop wars. She helped start a group called Americans Against War with Iraq.

She also took part in politics. She was a delegate for a presidential candidate named Michael Dukakis. A delegate is someone chosen to represent their area at a big political meeting. Lila Garrett also led the Southern California chapter of a group called the Americans for Democratic Action. This group works to support fair and equal government. She also helped create the Progressive Democrats of America.

Radio Host and Voice for Change

Lila Garrett hosted her own radio show. It was called Connect the Dots. The show was on KPFK radio, which is part of Pacifica Radio. On her show, she talked with many important people. These guests often shared similar ideas about making society better.
