Layla Pascal "Lili" Iskandar (born on May 16, 2002) is a talented Lebanese footballer. She plays as a forward, which means she helps score goals for her team. Lili is a key player for the Lebanon national team.

Lili started her football journey at Salam Zgharta in 2018. She then moved to the champions, SAS. In her first season with SAS, she helped them win their fifth league title. She scored an amazing 15 goals that season. Later, Lili joined the Danish team HB Køge for the 2021–22 season. In 2022, she moved to Etihad in Jordan. There, she helped her team win the 2023 league title and was the top goalscorer with 14 goals. After that, Iskandar joined the Saudi club Al-Ittihad.

Lili also played for Lebanon's youth teams. She won the 2019 WAFF U-18 Girls Championship and was the top scorer in that competition. She has been playing for the senior national team since 2018. Lili helped Lebanon finish second in the WAFF Women's Championship in 2022. She was even named the best player of the tournament that year. In 2019, she helped her team get third place in the same championship.

Club Career

Playing in Lebanon

Lili Iskandar began her career with her hometown club, Salam Zgharta, during the 2018–19 season. She scored 10 goals for them. In 2019, she joined SAS, who were the champions at the time.

In the final game of the 2019–20 season, Lili scored two goals against EFP. These goals helped her team win the league title. She finished that season with 15 goals. This meant she scored more than one goal per game, which is a fantastic achievement!

Playing in Denmark

On July 9, 2021, Lili Iskandar signed a one-year contract with HB Køge. This team plays in the Danish Women's League. She joined them for the 2021–22 season.

Playing in Jordan

On July 3, 2022, Lili moved to Etihad, a club in the Jordan Women's Pro League. She mentioned that she joined the club to work again with her former Lebanon national team coach, Wael Gharzeddine. Lili scored her first goal for Etihad on July 17. This goal helped Etihad win 3–0 against Al-Nasr in a league match. She scored five goals in 12 games that season. Her team finished second in both the league and the cup.

On September 2, 2023, Lili led Etihad to win the 2023 Jordanian-Saudi Women's Clubs Championship. She was the top scorer in this tournament with four goals. She also became the top scorer in the 2023 Jordan Women's Pro League. She scored 14 goals in 12 games. Her amazing performance helped Etihad win their first league title ever.

Playing in Saudi Arabia

In October 2023, Lili Iskandar joined Al-Ittihad on a loan. This was for the 2023–24 Saudi Women's Premier League season. She scored seven goals and made one assist in 17 games across all competitions. In July 2024, Al-Ittihad signed her permanently for one year. Lili left the club at the end of the 2024-25 season. She played 31 games over two seasons in the Saudi Women's Premier League, scoring 10 goals.

International Career

Youth Teams

Lili Iskandar scored her first international goal for the Lebanon under-19 national team. This happened on October 24, 2018, in a qualifying match against Hong Kong U19. She played four games in these qualifiers and scored one goal.

Lili was the top goalscorer in the 2019 WAFF U-18 Girls Championship. She won this championship with her team. She scored seven goals in five matches during the tournament. In December 2020, Lili played two friendly games against Egypt U19. She scored in both games. With these two goals, Lili became the first player to score 10 goals for Lebanon's under-18 and under-19 teams combined.

Lili Iskandar made her first appearance for the senior Lebanon team on November 8, 2018. She came on as a substitute against Iran in an Olympic qualification match. Lili also played four games for Lebanon in the 2019 WAFF Women's Championship. She helped her team achieve third place in that competition.

On October 24, 2021, Lili scored her first goal for the senior team. This was in a qualifying game for the 2022 AFC Asian Cup against Guam. Lebanon won that game 3–0. Lili also played in the 2022 WAFF Women's Championship. She helped her team finish second and was named the best player of the tournament. She scored one goal against Palestine on August 29.

On April 8, 2023, Lili scored two goals in one game for the first time internationally. This was in a 5–0 win against Indonesia in an Olympic Qualifying Tournament. On September 30, 2023, Lili scored a goal in the 102nd minute of the 2023 SAFF Friendly Tournament final. This goal helped Lebanon win 1–0 against Bhutan. With this goal, she broke Christy Maalouf's record for most international goals for Lebanon.

Lili started the 2024 WAFF Women's Championship with three goals against Guam on February 19, 2024. Her team won 4–3. She became the first player to score 10 goals for her national team. Her third goal in that match was also the 100th goal ever scored by the Lebanon women's national team. On July 16, 2025, Lili made three assists in a 3–1 win against Iran in the 2026 Asian Cup qualifiers. All three assists were for Christy Maalouf. This made her the first player to provide three assists in a single game for Lebanon.

Style of Play

When Lili was younger, she played as an attacking midfielder. This means she played in the middle of the field, helping to create chances for goals. She was good at shooting and could create many attacking opportunities for her team.
