Lily Serna is an Australian mathematician and TV presenter. She was born on July 5, 1986. Many people know her from the TV game shows Letters and Numbers and Celebrity Letters and Numbers. She also co-hosted the cooking show Destination Flavour. Lily uses her math skills as a data analyst for a company called Atlassian in Sydney.

Early Life and School
Lily Serna was born in Jerusalem. Her family is Palestinian. She went to Cheltenham Girls High School in Sydney, Australia. After high school, she studied at the University of Technology Sydney. In 2009, she earned two degrees: one in Mathematics and Finance, and another in International Studies. During her studies, she lived in Bordeaux, France, for a year.
Her Career in TV and Math
In August 2010, Lily started her TV career. She became a co-presenter on Letters and Numbers on SBS Television. At the same time, she was also studying advanced mathematics part-time. Her studies focused on how math can be used in biology.
Working with Numbers
In August 2012, Lily became an ambassador for National Literacy and Numeracy Week. This role meant she helped promote the importance of reading and math skills. She also joined the board of the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute for a time. Today, Lily works as a data analyst for Atlassian, a software company. Before that, she was a data analyst at Fairfax Media.
TV Shows and Appearances
Lily Serna has been part of several TV shows. She co-hosted Destination Flavour, a cooking show on SBS. She worked alongside actress Renee Lim and chef Adam Liaw, who won MasterChef Australia. This show first aired as a 10-part series in late 2012.
In 2019, Lily appeared on the ABC's Catalyst program. She was in an episode that talked about risk. More recently, she returned to TV as a co-presenter for Celebrity Letters and Numbers. This celebrity version of the game show started on SBS in October 2021.
Her Family Life
Lily Serna got engaged to Blair Hickey in early 2019. They were hiking in Tasmania at Surprise Bay when he proposed. They welcomed their first child in late 2019. The couple now has two children.
