Early Life and Training

Linda Wilscam is the daughter of Maurice Wilscam and Gabrielle Arsenault. She studied acting at the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Montréal. She graduated from this famous drama school in 1971. This training helped her prepare for a career in theatre and television.

Becoming Picotine

Linda Wilscam first created the fun character Picotine for summer theatre shows. She then brought Picotine to television. She starred in the TV series Picotine from 1971 to 1976. This show became very popular with young viewers.

After her time as Picotine, Linda Wilscam started writing. From 1976 to 1995, she wrote scripts for many TV shows made for young people.
