Linda Wilscam was born in 1949. Her parents were Maurice Wilscam and Gabrielle Arsenault. She loved performing and learning about drama. In 1971, she graduated from the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Montréal. This is a special school for acting in Montreal.
Creating Picotine
Linda Wilscam first created the fun character named Picotine for summer plays. People loved Picotine so much that Linda decided to bring her to television. She then starred as Picotine in a TV series with the same name. The show was very popular and ran from 1971 to 1976.
Writing for Young Audiences
After her time as Picotine, Linda Wilscam continued to work in television. From 1976 to 1995, she wrote many scripts for TV shows. These shows were made especially for young people.
