Lionard Fernando Pajoy Ortiz (born June 7, 1981) is a professional football player from Colombia. He plays as a striker, which means he is a forward player who focuses on scoring goals. He currently plays for Alianza Universidad.

Lionard Pajoy's Football Journey
Starting in Colombia
Pajoy started his football career with the team Cortulua in 2004. The next year, he played for Atlético Huila. In 2006, he joined Boyacá Chicó and had a great season, scoring 12 goals in 35 games.
Because of his strong performance, Pajoy was signed by Cúcuta Deportivo, a champion team from 2006. He helped Cúcuta reach the semi-finals of the Copa Libertadores 2007, which is a big football tournament in South America. He even scored an important goal that helped his team get to the semi-finals. After three years with Cúcuta, he moved to Deportivo Cali in 2010. Later that year, he played for Millonarios.
In 2011, Pajoy was loaned to Itagüí Ditaires. There, he found his scoring touch again. He scored three goals in one game against Real Cartagena. During his time with Itagüí, he helped the team finish well in the league and was one of the top scorers.
Playing in the USA: Major League Soccer
In 2012, Pajoy moved to the United States to play for Philadelphia Union in Major League Soccer (MLS). Later that year, he was traded to D.C. United. He quickly scored his first goal for D.C. United in a win against Chicago. He even scored against his old team, Philadelphia Union, helping D.C. United win 1-0.
Back to Colombia
After playing in the MLS, Pajoy returned to Colombia in 2014. He signed with La Equidad. He played 20 games for them, scoring one goal.
Success in Peru
After his contract ended in Colombia, Pajoy moved to Peru in 2015 to play for Unión Comercio. He became a top goal scorer there, scoring 7 goals in just 8 games in one part of the season. He even scored 4 goals in his very first game for the team! He continued to score many goals throughout the 2015 season, finishing as the league's top scorer with 25 goals in 39 games.
Because of his amazing performance, Pajoy signed with Alianza Lima, one of the most famous football clubs in Peru, in 2016. He wanted to help them win their first championship since 2006. Just like before, he scored in his first game for Alianza Lima. He continued to be an important player for the team.
