Lior Asulin (Hebrew: ליאור אסולין; born October 6, 1980 – died October 7, 2023) was an Israeli footballer. He played as a striker, which means he was a player who focused on scoring goals. Lior Asulin passed away during an attack at a music festival in Israel.

Lior Asulin's Football Journey
Early Career and Rise to Fame
Lior Asulin grew up in Ra'anana, Israel. He started his football journey in the youth system of Maccabi Herzliya. He quickly moved up to Israel's top league, the Israeli Premier League.
After two seasons, his club was moved down to a lower league called Liga Leumit. In the 2001–02 season, Lior was the top scorer in Liga Leumit. He scored an amazing twenty-eight goals.
Loan Spells and Success
Because of his great talent, Maccabi Herzliya loaned Lior to other clubs in the top league. This helped him gain more experience. During these loan periods, Lior became known as one of the best Israeli strikers.
He even helped his team, Bnei Sakhnin, win the State Cup. This is a very important football competition in Israel. After this success, he played for Beitar Jerusalem on loan.
Playing for Top Clubs
In June 2007, Lior Asulin signed a four-year contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv. This was a big step in his career. Later, in January 2008, he moved to Apollon Limassol on loan.
From 2009 to 2011, Lior played for Hapoel Be'er Sheva in the Israeli Premier League. He continued to show his skills as a striker.
Winning with Hapoel Ramat Gan
On August 17, 2011, Lior signed with Hapoel Ramat Gan. This club was in the Liga Leumit at the time. Lior was a key player in their success.
He helped Hapoel Ramat Gan win two important trophies. They won the Toto Cup and the Liga Leumit league title. This meant the team was promoted back to the Premier League. Lior was the team's top scorer that season, with 14 goals.
Time with Hapoel Rishon LeZion
On June 17, 2012, Lior signed a new contract with Hapoel Rishon LeZion. He continued to be a strong player. On December 4, 2012, he helped the club win their first trophy.
He scored a goal and a penalty in the finals of the 2012–13 Toto Cup Leumit. This was another great achievement in his career.
Passing Away
On October 7, 2023, Lior Asulin was attending a music festival in Re'im, Israel. During the event, an attack occurred. Lior was among the people who passed away during this attack. This event was part of the beginning of the 2023 Israel–Hamas war.
