Lisa Aisato (born July 23, 1981) is a talented Norwegian artist, illustrator, and author. She is famous for creating beautiful picture books and drawings. Her full name is Lisa Aisato N'jie Solberg, but she uses "Lisa Aisato" as her pen name.

About Lisa Aisato
Lisa Aisato was born in Kolbotn, Norway. Her mother is Norwegian, and her father is from Gambia. She has a sister named Haddy N'jie, who is also a well-known artist. Today, Lisa lives in Skjærhalden, a lovely place in Hvaler, Norway.
Lisa's Artistic Journey
Lisa studied art at places like Einar Granum Kunstfagskole
and Strykejernet kunstskole . She published her first picture book, Mine to oldemødre (My Two Grandmothers), in 2008. Since then, she has written and illustrated many more books, including Odd er et egg (Odd is an Egg) from 2010, Fugl (Bird) from 2013, and En fisk til Luna (A Fish for Luna) from 2014.Illustrating for Other Authors
Lisa Aisato is also a popular illustrator for other writers. She has created drawings for books by famous authors like Tor Åge Bringsværd and Gaute Heivoll. Some of her well-known illustration works include Svalene under isen (The Swallows Under the Ice) from 2012, Snøsøsteren (The Snow Sister) from 2018 by Maja Lunde, and Til ungdommen (To the Youth) from 2018 by Linn Skåber. She also regularly draws pictures for Magasinet, a special section of the newspaper Dagbladet.
Awards and Recognition
In 2016, Lisa Aisato received the Teskjekjerringprisen award. She shared this award with her sister and co-writer, Haddy N'jie, for their book Snart sover du. Et års god natt (Soon You'll Sleep. A Year of Good Night).
Her book Odd er et egg was even turned into an animated short film called Odd is an Egg. This film was directed by Kristin Ulseth and won the "Best animated short" prize at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2017. The film was also nominated for awards at the Berlin International Film Festival and the Edmonton International Film Festival.
In 2019, Lisa released her book Livet – illustrert (Life – illustrated). This book is a collection of her beautiful illustrations paired with poetic texts. It received great reviews and sold very well.
