Lisa Hartman Black (born June 1, 1956) is an American actress and singer. She is from Houston, Texas.
Lisa became well-known for her role in the TV show Knots Landing from 1982 to 1986. She also recorded four music albums between 1976 and 1987. Her most famous song from this time was "If Love Must Go". Later, she had a big hit with a song called "When I Said I Do". This was a duet with her husband, country singer Clint Black. It reached number one on the Billboard country music charts in 1999.
Lisa Hartman Black has acted in many movies and TV shows. Some of these include Flicka: Country Pride, Back to You and Me, and The Masked Singer. She married Clint Black in 1991. They have a daughter named Lily Pearl Black. Since 2002, they have lived in Nashville, Tennessee.

Lisa's Acting Career
After some small TV appearances, Lisa Hartman starred in a show called Tabitha in 1977–78. This show was a spin-off from the popular series Bewitched. She then appeared in many TV shows as a guest star. In 1981, she was in the TV movie remake of Jacqueline Susann's Valley of the Dolls.
Becoming a Star on Knots Landing
Lisa's big break came in 1982 when she joined the TV drama Knots Landing. She played a rock singer named Ciji Dunne. Her character was very popular with viewers. When Ciji was written off the show in 1983, fans were very upset.
To fix this, Lisa was brought back to the show as a new character, Cathy Geary. Cathy was also a singer. Lisa stayed on Knots Landing until 1986. During her time on the show, she also appeared in the movie Where the Boys Are '84. She even sang the theme song for the film.
Music and Other TV Roles
Lisa recorded four solo albums from 1976 to 1987. Her song "If Love Must Go" was performed on shows like Solid Gold. Even with help from famous songwriters, her solo albums were not big hits.
Her biggest music success came with her husband, Clint Black. Their duet "When I Said I Do" became a number one country song in 1999. It was even nominated for a Grammy Award. This song was ranked high on CMT's 100 Greatest Duets in Country Music. They also recorded another duet, "Easy For Me to Say," in 2002.
In 1994, Lisa helped host a TV special celebrating 30 years of Universal Studios. In 2011, her older albums were re-released on CD.
Recent Projects
In 2012, Lisa starred in the movie Flicka: Country Pride. She played the mother of a young horse rider. In 2005, she was in a TV movie called Back to You and Me on the Hallmark Channel.
In 2020, Lisa and her husband Clint Black appeared on The Masked Singer. They were the "Snow Owls" and were the first duet to compete on the show.
Lisa's Family Life
Lisa Hartman grew up in Houston, Texas. In 1991, she married country musician Clint Black. In 2001, they welcomed their daughter, Lily Pearl Black. The family moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 2002.
