Anna Lisbeth Christina Palme (born Beck-Friis; 14 March 1931 – 18 October 2018) was a Swedish expert who helped children. She was a children's psychologist and also led UNICEF, a big organization that helps kids worldwide. Lisbeth Palme was married to Olof Palme, who was the Prime Minister of Sweden. She was known for her important work supporting children's rights around the world.

Her Early Life and Education
Anna Lisbeth Christina Beck-Friis was born in Stockholm, Sweden. Her father was Christian Beck-Friis, a civil engineer and a baron. Her mother was Anna-Lisa Beck-Friis.
Lisbeth finished school in Stockholm in 1950. After that, she went to Stockholm University. She studied hard and graduated in the summer of 1955.
Helping Children: Her Career
Lisbeth Palme became a children's psychologist. This means she helped kids with their thoughts and feelings. For some time, she worked for the Stockholm County Council. Later, she worked for the social department in Stockholm county.
She was also very involved with UNICEF. UNICEF is a special part of the United Nations that helps children all over the world. From 1987 to 1999, Lisbeth was the leader of the Swedish UNICEF committee. She even became the international leader for UNICEF from 1990 to 1991.
Lisbeth Palme strongly supported the Children's Convention. This is an important agreement that lists the rights of every child. It was later officially established. She also helped investigate terrible events in Rwanda in 2000, working with the Organisation of African Unity to understand what happened.
Her Family Life
Lisbeth married a politician named Olof Palme on 9 June 1956. Olof Palme later became the Prime Minister of Sweden. He was Prime Minister from 1969 to 1976, and again from 1982 to 1986.
Lisbeth and Olof had three sons together: Joakim, Mårten, and Mattias. They were married for almost 30 years. Their marriage ended in 1986 when Olof Palme was assassinated.

Her Passing
Lisbeth Palme passed away on 18 October 2018. She had been sick for some time. She was 87 years old when she died.
