Horrible Histories is a super funny and educational TV show. It's all about history, but in a way that's never boring! The show uses live-action sketches, songs, and silly characters to teach you about different times in history. It's based on the popular book series by Terry Deary.
The original Horrible Histories show ran from 2009 to 2013. It had five main series, each with thirteen episodes. There were also seven special episodes! The main cast members were Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard, Ben Willbond, and Sarah Hadland. They played lots of different historical figures and made history hilarious. You could also hear their voices in the cartoon parts of the show.
Later on, in 2015, Horrible Histories came back with a new cast and a slightly different style. These new episodes often focused on one famous historical person. Then, in 2016, more specials came out, celebrating big anniversaries like 400 years since Shakespeare died. The cast changed again, with Jalaal Hartley, Tom Stourton, and Jessica Ransom becoming some of the new main stars.
