From April 2014, some stories became part of the "official" Star Wars timeline, called canon. These are the main movies, like the nine films in the Skywalker Saga, and newer TV shows and books. This means all the events and characters in these stories fit together perfectly.

Discovering Star Wars Legends

Other older stories, like many novels, comics, and video games published before April 2014, were grouped into something called Star Wars Legends. These Legends stories are still fun to read and explore! They offer many exciting adventures and unique characters. However, they are not part of the main official timeline. This helps keep the core Star Wars story clear for everyone.
