Some rivers flow all the time, and we call them permanent rivers. Others only flow after it rains a lot, and these are called intermittent streams. On Saint Kitts and Nevis, there are six permanent streams and 53 intermittent streams in total. Only two of the rivers listed below, Cayon and Wingfield, are permanent rivers.

The island of Saint Kitts is home to several rivers and streams. Most of them are intermittent, meaning they only flow during the rainy season. However, some are permanent and flow all year round.

The island of Nevis also has its own streams. Like Saint Kitts, many of these are intermittent.
