St. Petersburg, Florida is a big city located in sunny Florida. It's home to over 250,000 people. This city is famous for its many tall buildings, often called skyscrapers. These buildings reach high into the sky! Two of the most famous are the Priatek Plaza and Signature Place.

The Priatek Plaza is currently the tallest skyscraper in St. Petersburg. It was built in 1990 and stands about 118 meters (386 feet) tall. It has 28 floors and is an office building. For over 25 years, it has been the tallest building in St. Petersburg and Pinellas County. The second tallest skyscraper is Signature Place. It's the tallest building where people live. Signature Place is about 116 meters (381 feet) tall with 36 floors. It has 243 homes inside. This building helped change how modern buildings look in St. Petersburg. It also survived a tough time for the housing market around 2008.

St. Petersburg has recently seen many new luxury apartment buildings. These were built from the 1990s through the 2000s. Many visitors and people who live here wanted these large and mid-sized apartment buildings.
