Lithia & Driveway Fields is a big sports park in Medford, Oregon. It used to be called U.S. Cellular Community Park. You can see it from Interstate 5 as you drive by.

This park is a great place for many sports. It has five baseball fields, four softball fields, and two general sports fields. There's also a special soccer field for championship games. The park is about 1,400 feet (427 meters) above sea level.

Explore the Sports Fields

Lithia & Driveway Fields has several different areas for various sports. Each field is designed for specific games and teams.

Harry & David Field: Home of Baseball

Harry & David Field is a popular baseball stadium. It hosts games for young players, high school teams, and the American Legion Medford Mustangs. It's also the home field for the Medford Rogues, a college-level baseball team.

The field is named after the Harry & David Corporation, a well-known company nearby. A local businessman named Gary Miller helped create this field. It opened in 2005.

Harry & David Field is only used for amateur baseball and community events. It's not for professional teams. The stadium was updated between 2012 and 2013. This was to make it ready for the new Medford Rogues team. Even though it's next to Lithia & Driveway Fields, it's owned separately.

This field replaced an older one called Miles Field. Miles Field was where minor league baseball teams played for many years. It was taken down in 2004. Now, a Wal-Mart store stands where Miles Field used to be. Some parts of the old field, like the light towers and scoreboard, were moved to Harry & David Field.

Spectrum Field: All-Weather Baseball

Spectrum Field is a special baseball field with artificial turf. This means games can be played even when the weather isn't perfect. It's used for high school and youth baseball.

This field is the main home for the Cascade Christian High School Challenger baseball team. They even won a state championship in 2012! Sometimes, St. Mary's School also uses this field if their own is too wet to play on. The name "Spectrum Field" comes from Charter Cable, which uses the Spectrum brand.

Radio Medford Field: Softball Diamond

In 2011, one of the softball fields at the park got a new name: Radio Medford Field. This happened because a local radio company, Mapleton Communications, made an agreement with the park. It's one of five softball fields in the complex.

Football and Soccer Field: Championship Games

The main soccer field at Lithia & Driveway Fields is a championship-sized field. It's where the Southern Oregon Fuego team from the National Premier Soccer League used to play.

This field also hosts high school and youth football and soccer games. Teams like Cascade Christian High School and St. Mary's School use it for their events. It's also a main practice spot for the Rogue Valley Timbers Soccer Club. This youth soccer program is connected to the Portland Timbers professional team.

Park History

The land where Lithia & Driveway Fields now stands has a long history. Martin Dietrich Heitkamp and his wife Gertrude bought the property in 1937. Their children, Martin and Rose, helped them farm and run a cattle ranch there.

Martin Heitkamp Jr. stayed on the property and raised his own family. In 2007, the Heitkamp family sold the land to the City of Medford. That's when it became Lithia & Driveway Fields at Heitkamp Ranch.
