Little Hawk (in the Lakota language: Čhetáŋ Čík'ala, born around 1842 and died in 1871) was a brave Oglala Lakota warrior. He was the younger half-brother of the famous warrior Crazy Horse.
Little Hawk's father, Worm, married again after Crazy Horse's mother passed away. He married two sisters from the Brulé Lakota tribe. These sisters were named Iron Between Horns and Kills Enemy. They were also the sisters of the important Brulé Lakota chief, Spotted Tail.

Honoring Little Hawk
When Crazy Horse heard about his brother's death, he went to find Little Hawk's body. After preparing his brother's remains, Crazy Horse performed a special ceremony. He killed Little Hawk's horse. This was done so that the horse's spirit could join Little Hawk's spirit and help him on his journey to the spirit world.
