What Makes Little Paxton Pits Special?
Little Paxton Pits was once a place where gravel was dug out of the ground. Over time, these large holes filled with water, creating many lakes and ponds. These flooded areas have become a perfect home for many different creatures.

The pits are super important for birds, especially during winter. Many types of wildfowl, which are birds like ducks and geese, come here to spend the colder months.
