Little Union is a small, unincorporated community located in Marion County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. An unincorporated community is a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town does. Instead, it's usually governed by the county.
History of Little Union
The community of Little Union got its name from a church nearby that was also called Little Union. A post office was opened in Little Union in 1876. This post office helped people send and receive mail, which was very important for communication back then. However, the post office only stayed open for about ten years, closing down in 1886.
