Lizbeth Meg Rosenberg, born on February 3, 1955, is an American writer. She writes poetry, novels, and books for children. She also reviews children's books for The Boston Globe. Currently, she teaches English at Binghamton University. She has also taught at several other colleges.

About Liz Rosenberg
Her Early Life
Liz Rosenberg grew up in Syosset, New York, on Long Island. Her parents were Ross and Lucille Rosenberg. She has an older sister named Ellen. Liz wrote her first "novel" when she was only nine years old. However, her first published novel, Heart and Soul, took her twenty years to finish. It is a Young Adult novel.
Her father owned a company called ROSCO Tools. They made tools. Her mother worked in publishing for a short time. Then, she stayed home to take care of Liz and her sister.
Her Education and Teaching Career
Liz Rosenberg went to Syosset High School. In her last year, she won a writing award. She studied creative writing and literature at Bennington College. While there, her first short story, "Memory," was published in The Atlantic Monthly magazine.
After college, she earned her Masters degree in creative writing. She then earned her PhD in Comparative Literature from Binghamton University. She has been teaching there since 1979. She has taught many writers who later became famous.
Her Personal Life and Community Work
Liz Rosenberg married David Bosnick in 1983. They had two children together. They were married until David passed away in 2014.
Liz has also been very active in her community. She was on the board of the Binghamton City School District. She also helped with Chabad House and Beds for Kids. This group gave furniture and beds to children in need. She also helped start Binghamton's Indoor Playground. In the past, she led a program called Local Harvest for the Homeless. This program connected the community with artists from Binghamton University.
