Llançà (pronounced lyan-SAH) is a charming town located in Catalonia, Spain. It's part of the Alt Empordà region and sits right on the beautiful Costa Brava coastline. This area is famous for its stunning beaches and clear waters.
Llançà is nestled between the Cap de Creus natural park and the border with France. It's a busy place, known for its important fishing port and as a popular spot for tourists. Many people visit to enjoy the sun, sea, and fresh seafood.
The town is connected to other places by the N-260 road. This road goes to Figueres, a nearby city, and then continues all the way to the border town of Portbou.

Llançà is a great starting point for hikers! The GR 92 is a very long walking path that follows the entire Mediterranean coast of Spain. Llançà is a key stop along this trail.
- Northward Journey: If you walk north from Llançà, you can follow Stage 1 of the GR 92. This path leads to Portbou, which is about 9.8 kilometers (around 6 miles) away.
- Southward Adventure: Heading south from Llançà, you'll find Stage 2 of the GR 92. This longer section takes you to the artistic town of Cadaqués, a journey of about 20.3 kilometers (around 12.6 miles).
