History of Lloydsville
Lloydsville has an interesting past. It was also known as Loydsville at one time. The community was started in 1831 by a person named Joshua Loyd. He planned out the area, and the place was named after him.
A post office opened in Lloydsville in 1832. A post office was very important back then for sending and receiving letters and packages. This post office served the community for many years. It finally closed down in 1907.
