Lluís Homar i Toboso (born on April 20, 1957) is a talented Spanish actor and theater director. He was born in Barcelona, Spain. He is well-known for his roles in several movies and TV shows.

About Lluís Homar
Early Life and Education
Lluís Homar was born in Barcelona on April 20, 1957. He went to primary school at Escuelas Homar in the Horta neighborhood of Barcelona. He also helped out as an altar boy at the Sant Joan d’Horta church.
Later, he studied law at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He also took acting classes at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona.
Starting in Theater
Lluís Homar began his acting career in 1974. He appeared in a play called Othello. The next year, he joined a theater group called Teatre del Escorpi. With this group, he performed in plays like Terra Baixa.
In 1976, Lluís Homar and other actors started their own theater company. It was called Teatre Lliure of Barcelona. He was part of more than 30 plays with this company. From 1992 to 1998, he was also the artistic director, which means he helped decide which plays to put on and how they would be performed.
During these years, Lluís also appeared in many TV commercials. He had small parts in TV series too, such as Llibre dels fets del bon rei en Jaume.
Movies and TV Shows
Lluís Homar made his first big movie appearance in 1981. He played the main male role in a film based on the book The Time of the Doves.
He later acted in two films directed by Pedro Almodóvar. These were ... Education (from 2004) and Broken ... (from 2009). He also played Pope Alejandro VI in the movie The ....
One of his most famous roles was playing a robot named Max. This was in the science fiction film Eva (2011), directed by Kike Maíllo. For this role, he won two important awards: the 2011 Goya Award and the Gaudi Award for Best Supporting Actor.
Lluís Homar also received praise for playing King Juan Carlos I. This was in the Spanish TV show 23-F: The King's Most Difficult Day. This show was about a difficult time in Spain in 1981. He also played a Roman general named Servio Sulpicio Galba. This was in the TV series Hispania, la leyenda and Imperium.
In 2016, he received the Nacho Martinez Award at the Gijón International Film Festival. This award recognized his great work in acting.
Lluís Homar lives in a town called Canet de Mar.
