Loch Insh is a beautiful freshwater loch (which is the Scottish word for lake) located in the Highlands region of Scotland. It's a popular spot for outdoor adventures and enjoying nature.
Where is Loch Insh?
Loch Insh is found right in the middle of an area called Badenoch and Strathspey. It's about seven miles south of the town of Aviemore and seven miles north of Kingussie. The closest village to the loch is Kincraig. This makes it easy to visit from nearby towns.
Fun Activities at Loch Insh
Loch Insh is well-known for its exciting watersports! You can try many different activities on the water, like sailing, windsurfing, and kayaking or canoeing. It's a great place to learn new skills or practice your favorites.
On the southeast side of the loch, there's a special watersports centre. This centre has everything you need for a fun day on the water. You can also enjoy good fishing in the loch. After a day of activities, visitors can relax at the nearby Chalets or a small hotel called Insh Hall.
