Lois Andison facts for kids
Lois Andison is a talented artist who creates special kinds of art called installation art. This means she makes art you can walk around or even be inside! Her Early Life and Career
Lois Andison was born in Smith Falls, Ontario. Today, she lives in Toronto, Ontario. Before she became a full-time artist, Lois worked as a professional illustrator. This means she drew pictures for books and other projects. She was also a graphic designer, someone who designs logos and visual layouts.
In 1990, she earned her art degree, called a Bachelor of Fine Arts, from York University. Since then, she has been a professional artist. Her very first solo art show, where only her art was displayed, happened at Gallery Seventy-Six in Toronto, Ontario. Lois's art has also been shown in places that are not traditional art galleries. For example, in 2019, her artwork called tree of life was shown at the BMO Project Room in Toronto.
Where Her Art Is Kept
Lois Andison's artwork is so important that it is part of the collection at the National Gallery of Canada. This means her art is kept and displayed in Canada's main national art museum.
