Lois June Ramsey (born Dickson; 18 June 1922 – 22 January 2016) was a famous Australian actress. She was also known as Lois Ramsay. Lois was best known for her regular roles in popular TV shows like The Box and Prisoner. She often played fun, unique older ladies in TV dramas.

Lois Ramsey had a long and busy acting career. She started acting in 1954 and continued until 2012. She worked in television, movies, and on stage.
Famous TV Shows
Lois was a main character in the 1970s TV drama The Box. She played Mrs. Hopkins, who was a tea lady, and appeared in every episode of the show.
She also had two important roles in the TV series Prisoner. In 1980, she played Agnes Forster, a social worker. Later, from 1985 to 1986, Lois played Ettie Parslow. Ettie was an elderly prison inmate who thought World War II was still happening.

Lois Ramsey appeared in many other Australian TV dramas. These included popular shows like Homicide, The Sullivans, Cop Shop, and A Country Practice. She also had roles in E Street, Home and Away, Blue Heelers, Always Greener, and All Saints.

Lois June Dickson was born to Bill and Maud Dickson. On 25 September 1943, she married Cuthbert Ward Ramsey. They had two children together. Their son, Stephen Ramsey, became a writer and director. Their daughter, Penny Ramsey, was also an actress, but she has sadly passed away.
