Londa Erica Larmond was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on September 3, 1975. Her parents, Ethan and Evan Larmond, were from Jamaica. Londa grew up with her three brothers, David, Wayne, and Jason. She began singing and performing when she was only seven years old. Larmond even sang for important leaders. She performed for George W. Bush, who was the President of the United States. She also sang for Jean Chrétien, who was the Prime Minister of Canada.

Londa's Music Career

Londa's professional music career started in 1999. Her first studio album, Love Letters, was released on June 19, 2001. This album was put out by EMI Gospel. Love Letters was very successful. It was nominated for Urban Album of the Year at the 2002 GMA Dove Awards. It was also nominated for Best Gospel Album at the 2002 Juno Awards.

In 2006, Londa won a Covenant Award. She won for Traditional Gospel Song of the Year with her song "Wonderful". Later, in October 2010, Londa recorded her second album, Great Things, live. This album was released in 2011. Londa is also a "triple-crown winner" of the Canada Glass Awards. This means she has won multiple top awards there.
