A Look Back: The Post Office Story
Long ago, Longwood Crossing had its own post office. A post office is where people send and receive mail. This post office had two different names over time.
It first opened in 1832. Back then, it was called Philpotts Mills. A few years later, in 1837, its name changed. It became known simply as Longwood. The Longwood post office served the community for many years. However, it eventually closed down for good in 1901.
