Lonyo Engele, known simply as Lonyo, is a British DJ, actor, and singer. He was born on February 18, 1974. Lonyo became famous for his music, especially his hit song "Summer of Love." He has also appeared in TV shows and movies.
Early Life
Lonyo grew up in London, England. He also attended Roehampton University.
Music Career
Lonyo had a very popular song in 2000 called "Summer of Love." This song was a big hit, reaching number eight on the UK music charts. Later that year, he released "In Ayia Napa."
In April 2001, Lonyo released his third song, "Garage Girls." This song also did well, reaching number 39 on the charts. Before his solo career, Lonyo was part of a group called Bon Garçon. With this group, he released songs like "If You Need a Man" and "Freek U."
Acting Roles
Besides music, Lonyo is also an actor. He appeared on the TV show Never Mind the Buzzcocks. In 2013, he won the Screen Nation Best Actor Award. He also starred in the TV mini-series The Bible as one of the Guardian Angels.
