Loren Falsone is a talented American chef and restaurant owner. She is known for her delicious food and for owning The Pharmacy restaurant in Florida.
Early Life and Training
Loren Falsone was born in 1970 in East Setauket, New York. She grew up in the suburbs of Long Island. Loren went to Johnson & Wales University, a famous school for culinary arts. There, she met Eric Moshier, who would later become her husband and a pastry chef.
After college, Loren was recognized as one of the top ten sous chefs by Bertolli Olive Oil. A sous chef is the second-in-command in a kitchen, helping the head chef. Later, she and Eric moved to Florida. Loren became an executive chef at Seasons 52, a well-known restaurant.
Her Culinary Career
Since February 2012, Loren Falsone has owned a restaurant called The Pharmacy in Windermere, Florida. She owns it with her business partner, Dominick Tardugno. Loren often says that she learned a lot from her eight years working at Al Forno in Rhode Island. There, she worked with famous chefs Johanne Killeen and George Germon.
Loren has also shared her cooking knowledge by teaching. She was an instructor at the Orlando campus of Le Cordon Bleu, a world-famous cooking school. Tyler Brassil, who is her husband and co-owner of The Table – an Orlando Supper Club, also taught alongside her.
Awards and Recognition
In 2000, Loren Falsone was honored by Food & Wine magazine. They named her one of the "Best New Chefs." This award celebrates chefs who are making a big impact in the food world. Her former partner, Eric Moshier, also worked with her at Al Forno and later opened Empire Restaurant in Providence, Rhode Island.
