Starting Her Career
In 1786, Lorenza began her acting career in Barcelona. The next year, she joined a theatre group led by Martínez. She was the eleventh lady in this group, meaning she had a significant role.
Success in Madrid
Between 1787 and 1804, Lorenza worked with Martínez's company in Madrid. She performed at two important royal theatres: the Teatro de la Cruz and the Teatro del Príncipe. By 1788, she was recognized as an outstanding singer. She took part in many important plays and opera productions during these years.
International Fame
Moving to Paris
In 1804, Lorenza left Spain. She had a disagreement with the managers of the royal theatre. After this, she moved to Paris, France. There, she quickly became very successful.
Touring Italy
Lorenza spent the rest of her career traveling and performing in different cities in Italy. She was especially popular in Milan. Her talent brought her great fame across Europe.
Later Life
The exact date of Lorenza Correa's death is not fully known. She passed away in 1831.
