Working with His Famous Family
In 1750, when Lorenzo was about 14 years old, he traveled to a city called Würzburg in Germany. He went with his father, Giovanni Battista, and his brother, Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo. They all worked together on a big art project.
Painting at the Würzburg Residence
Their main job in Würzburg was to create beautiful fresco paintings. These large paintings were done on walls and ceilings inside the Würzburg Residence. It was a huge palace, and Lorenzo helped his father and brother decorate it. Working on such a big project helped Lorenzo learn many skills.
Lorenzo's Early Drawings
Even though his father was more famous, Lorenzo was a talented artist himself. During his time as an apprentice, or student, he created many drawings. Art experts have studied these drawings and believe many of them were made by young Lorenzo. He continued to work as an artist throughout his life.
