Los Gigantes is a popular resort town located on the west coast of Tenerife. Tenerife is one of the beautiful Canary Islands in Spain. The town is part of the Santiago del Teide area.

The most amazing thing about Los Gigantes is its huge rock formations. These giant cliffs are called Acantilados de Los Gigantes in Spanish. They rise straight out of the sea, reaching heights of 500 to 800 metres (about 1,640 to 2,625 feet)! The town gets its name from these impressive cliffs. "Los Gigantes" actually means "The Giants."
