Louis Falco (born August 2, 1942 – died March 26, 1993) was an American dancer and choreographer. He was known for his exciting dance style and for creating dances for movies and music videos.

Life and Career of Louis Falco
Louis Falco was born in New York City. His parents came from Italy. He started learning to dance in the 1950s. He studied at The Henry Street Playhouse with famous teachers like Murray Louis and Alwin Nikolais.
Falco went to the High School of Performing Arts. As a student, he began performing with Charles Weidman. In 1960, he started dancing professionally with José Limón's company. He also performed with other well-known dancers such as Flower Hujer, Alvin Ailey, and Donald McKayle.
He danced with the José Limón Dance Company from 1960 to 1970. From 1974 to 1975, he danced alongside the famous Rudolf Nureyev in a show called The Moor's Pavane on Broadway. His last performance was with Luciana Savignano at the La Scala Opera House in Milan. This show was called The Eagle's Nest. People thought Falco was an amazing and captivating dancer.
Falco's Choreography and Innovations
Falco started creating his own dances in 1967. He was one of the first choreographers to try new things on stage. For example, he used live rock bands in his performances.
He became very well-known for the dances he created for his own group, the Louis Falco Dance Company. He also choreographed the 1980 movie Fame. After the movie became a huge success, he started working on commercial projects. This included creating dances for music videos for many MTV artists. The Louis Falco Dance Company performed for the last time in New York City in 1982. This was for the opening of the Joyce Theater.
Falco created dances for several films and special dance projects. Some of these were never shown in the United States. In 1986, he received awards for a series of television commercials. Louis Falco died in 1993.
