Louise Isobel Shelley (born in 1952) is a respected university professor. She holds the Omer L. and Nancy Hirst Endowed Chair at the Schar School of Policy and International Affairs at George Mason University in Virginia. Professor Shelley is also the founder and executive director of a special center called the Terrorism, Transnational Crime and Corruption Center (TraCCC). Since 2023, she has also been a Global Advisor for the ACE Global Leaders of Excellence Network, which is part of the ACE Health Foundation.

Before joining George Mason University in 2007, she was a professor at the American University starting in 1986. Louise Shelley has two children.
