The Love Parade disaster happened on 24 July 2010. It was a very sad event where 21 people lost their lives. This happened because of a human crush at the Love Parade electronic music festival in Duisburg, Germany. More than 500 people were also hurt.

The Love Parade was a very popular music festival that started in 1989 in Berlin, Germany. It was a free event where people could enjoy electronic dance music. The parade was famous for its large floats. These floats had music, DJs, and dancers moving through the crowd. The 2010 event was the first time the festival was held in a closed area. About 1.4 million people were there, and 1,200 police officers were on duty.

After the disaster, the festival organizer announced that the Love Parade would never happen again. He said this was out of respect for everyone affected. This meant the end of the Love Parade festival.
