The Story of Loveland
Loveland began to grow in the 1860s. This happened when the Chicago and North Western Railway built its tracks through this area. The railway helped new communities like Loveland to form and connect with other places.
The community was named after E. Loveland. He was the person who owned the land where this small settlement started. Over the years, Loveland's population changed. In 1902, about 95 people lived there. By 1925, the number of residents had grown to 160.
