Loyiso Macdonald's Early Life

Loyiso Macdonald was born in the Eastern Cape, a province in South Africa. He attended Pinetown Boys' High School for his education. He later married Luphiwo Mathunzi, a musician. They had been together for six years before getting married. They met while working on a play called Othello in Johannesburg. Their wedding was a traditional ceremony held on September 30, 2012. It took place at Luphiwo's family home in Mpumalanga.

Loyiso Macdonald's Acting Journey

Before becoming an actor, Loyiso Macdonald worked in different jobs. He worked for a bank and also at a call centre for a phone company. However, he didn't enjoy these jobs very much. So, he decided to quit in 2007 to follow his passion for acting.

Starting in Theatre

After leaving his old jobs, Loyiso started performing in many stage plays. He studied speech and drama at a film school in Durban. He then spent four years working with the Durban Theatre. In 2011, he moved to Johannesburg to continue his acting career. He performed in several plays at the iZulu Theatre. This theatre is located inside the Sibaya Casino.
