Luca Lotti (born June 20, 1982) is an Italian politician. He served as the Minister for Sport from 2016 to 2018. He was part of the government led by Paolo Gentiloni.

About Luca Lotti
Luca Lotti was born in Empoli, a town in Tuscany, Italy. He studied Administration Sciences at the Cesare Alfieri Institute in Florence. His final project was about how governments can use technology to connect with citizens.
Early Life and Community Work
As a young person, Luca Lotti was a member of Azione Cattolica, a Catholic organization. He also enjoyed playing soccer and even coached a children's soccer team. This shows his early involvement in community activities.
In 2004, and again in 2009, Lotti was elected as a local councilor in Montelupo Fiorentino. This was his first step into public service.
Working in Government
In 2006, Luca Lotti joined the team of Matteo Renzi. At that time, Renzi was the President of the Province of Florence. Lotti helped him with his work.
When Renzi became the mayor of Florence in 2009, Lotti became the head of the Mayor's Secretariat. Later, he became the Head of the Cabinet for the city of Florence. These roles involved helping the mayor manage the city's affairs.
National Politics
In 2013, Luca Lotti was elected to the Chamber of Deputies. This is one of the two houses of the Italian Parliament. From 2014, he served as an Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council. In this role, he was in charge of information, communication, and publishing.
He also worked as the secretary for a special committee that planned economic matters. From 2016 to 2018, he held a very important position: the Minister for Sport. He was part of the government known as the Gentiloni Cabinet.
Luca Lotti was reelected as a deputy in the 2018 Italian general election.
