Playing in Italy
Lucas first arrived in Italy in December 2009. He joined a team called A.S. Andria BAT, which was part of the Lega Pro Prima Divisione. This was a professional football league in Italy, a bit like a lower division. He played 27 matches and scored 1 goal for this team.
In January 2011, Lucas moved to another Italian team, A.S. Taranto Calcio. There, he played 40 matches and scored 8 goals, showing his skill on the field.
For the 2012–13 season, he signed with Delfino Pescara 1936. This team was in Serie A, which is the top football league in Italy. However, he only played one match for them in the Coppa Italia cup over two seasons. After the 2013–14 season, he was no longer signed to any team.
Returning to Brazil
In February 2015, Lucas returned to his home country, Brazil. He signed with Clube Atlético Bragantino. This team played in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B, which is the second-highest football league in Brazil.
Later Career
After his time in Brazil, Lucas went back to Italy. He played for A.S. Cittadella from 2015 to 2018, where he played over 100 matches and scored 17 goals. He then joined Foggia Calcio and later Pordenone Calcio.
On October 5, 2020, his contract with Pordenone was ended by agreement between him and the club.
