Lucjan Roman Lis (born August 8, 1950 – died January 26, 2015) was a famous Polish cyclist. He was best known for his amazing skills in team cycling races. He won several important medals during his career.

Lucjan Lis's Cycling Success
Lucjan Lis was a very talented cyclist from Poland. He was especially good at a race called the 100-kilometer team time trial. In this race, a team of cyclists works together to finish as fast as possible.
Olympic Medal
At the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Lucjan Lis and his team won a silver medal. This was a huge achievement for him and for Poland.
World Championship Medals
Lucjan Lis also won medals at the World Championships. In 1971, he earned a bronze medal in the team time trial. Two years later, in 1973, he and his team won the gold medal in the same event.

In 1973, Lucjan Lis had a great year. He won the Tour de Pologne, which is a big cycling race in Poland. He also helped the Polish team win the Peace Race, another important team cycling event. While he was very successful in team races, he finished 36th in the individual road race at the 1972 Olympics.

Lucjan Lis stopped competing in cycling races in 1975. Later in his life, he faced some health challenges. He married Barbara Lis, who was a nurse. They had two daughters, Laura and Romana, and a son named Lucas. Lucas also became a competitive cyclist in Germany. Lucjan and his family lived together in Germany.
Lucjan Lis passed away on January 26, 2015, at the age of 64.
