Lucy Muthoni Kibaki (born 1940 – died April 26, 2016) was an important woman from Kenya. She was known for helping others and for her social work. Lucy Kibaki was married to Mwai Kibaki, who was the President of Kenya. They got married in 1962.

Early Life and Family
Lucy Muthoni was born in 1940. She grew up in Mukurwe-ini, Kenya. In 1962, she married Mwai Kibaki. Together, they had four children: Jimmy, David Kagai, Tony Githinji, and Judy Wanjiku. The family lived in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya.
Role as First Lady
As the First Lady of Kenya, Lucy Kibaki used her position to make a difference. She was especially passionate about helping vulnerable groups. She supported many projects aimed at improving the lives of people with disabilities.
She also played a big role in fighting against HIV/AIDS in Africa. She was the chairperson of a group called the Organization of the 40 African First Ladies Against HIV/Aids. This group worked to raise awareness and support efforts to combat the disease across the continent.
