Teaching Architecture

Professor at EPFL

From 1982 to 1984, he was a special guest teacher, called a Visiting Professor, at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). This is a very well-known university in Switzerland. In 1985, he became a full Professor of Architecture there, teaching students how to design buildings.

Teaching in Sardinia

He also taught at the University of Sassari in Alghero, Sardinia, which is an island in Italy. He helped students learn about architecture at the Faculty of Architecture there.

Later Life and Legacy

Luigi Snozzi continued to influence architecture for many years. His ideas about simple, strong, and thoughtful design are still studied by architects today. He passed away in Minusio, Switzerland, on December 29, 2020, at the age of 88. He died from COVID-19.
