Club Career: Lukman Haruna's Journey
Lukman Haruna started his professional football journey in Europe. In December 2007, when he was just 17, he signed a four-year contract with AS Monaco in France. This was a big step for a young player from Nigeria.
Playing in Ukraine
After a few years with Monaco, Lukman moved to Ukraine. In June 2011, he signed a five-year contract with FC Dynamo Kyiv, one of the biggest football clubs in Ukraine. He played many games for them.
Loan Spells and New Teams
While at Dynamo Kyiv, Lukman also went on loan to other clubs. A loan means a player temporarily plays for another team.
- In July 2015, he played for FC Anzhi Makhachkala in Russia.
- On April 3, 2016, he joined FC Astana in Kazakhstan for a short time.

In 2010, Lukman was chosen to be part of the Nigerian senior team. He joined the 23-man squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup held in South Africa.
