Lynden David Hall (born May 7, 1974 – died February 14, 2006) was a talented English singer, songwriter, and music producer. He became famous in the late 1990s as part of the neo soul music style. In 1999, he made history by being the first UK artist to be named "Best Male Artist" by the readers of Blues & Soul magazine in Britain. Lynden sadly passed away at age 31 due to health issues in 2006.

Lynden's Life and Music Journey
Lynden David Hall was born in Wandsworth, a part of South London. He quickly made a name for himself in the music world. In 1998, he won the "best newcomer" award at the MOBO (Music of Black Origin) Awards. This showed everyone that he was a rising star.
A year later, in 1999, Lynden achieved something special. He was voted "Best Male Artist" by the readers of Britain's Blues & Soul magazine. This was a big deal because he was the first UK performer ever to win this award.
Lynden also appeared in the popular movie Love Actually in 2003. He played the lead singer of a surprise band. This band performed the Beatles song "All You Need Is Love" at a wedding in the film. Two years after that, he released his third album, In Between Jobs.
In October 2003, Lynden was diagnosed with a serious illness. He bravely fought it, and even when he was in the hospital, he wanted to help others. In November 2005, he and his wife organized a successful concert called "Lynden's Wish." It was held at London's Jazz Café to raise money and awareness. Lynden passed away on February 14, 2006, at the age of 31. He is remembered for his amazing music and his kind heart.
