Midget League Football
Lynnwood was once home to a football team called the Lynnwood Eagles. They were part of the Belle Vernon Midget Football League. A "midget league" is a sports league for younger players, usually before high school. The Eagles' last championship was in 1998. A local player named Rick Van Pool led that team to victory.
