LaTasha Sheron Rogers (born July 30, 1970 – died June 4, 1991) was a talented rap artist. She was better known by her stage name, MC Trouble. She made history as the first female rapper to sign with Motown Records.
MC Trouble had a popular song called "(I Wanna) Make You Mine". It featured the group The Good Girls. This song was released on May 25, 1990. "Make You Mine" reached number 15 on the Billboard Hot Rap Singles chart. Her first album, Gotta Get a Grip, came out in 1990. The album's title track was also released as a single. Gotta Get a Grip blended different styles of rap and R&B music.
MC Trouble's Life and Legacy
LaTasha Rogers was born with a health condition called epilepsy. She received daily treatment for it. She was working on her second album when she passed away. This happened on June 4, 1991, in Los Angeles.
Her death deeply affected many rappers. Phife Dawg from A Tribe Called Quest honored her in his song "Vibes and Stuff". Nefertiti also remembered MC Trouble in her song, "Trouble in Paradise". P.E.A.C.E. of Freestyle Fellowship mentioned her in their song "Dedication". The group Boyz II Men dedicated their music video for "It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday" to her.
LaTasha Rogers was laid to rest at Inglewood Park Cemetery.

After her passing, a song called "Big Ol' Jazz" was released. It appeared on the House Party 2 movie soundtrack in late 1991. This song became her second and final hit on the Billboard Rap Singles chart.
