A Winning Team
The men's team at MFF Bordtennis was very successful. They won the Swedish national championship many times. These big wins happened in the seasons:
- 1988–89
- 1989–1990
- 1990–1991
- 1993–1994
- 1996–1997
- 1997–1998
- 2003–2004
They were also runners-up, meaning they won silver medals, in the 2004–05 season. This shows they were one of the best table tennis teams in Sweden for many years!
Famous Players
Some very talented table tennis players were part of MFF Bordtennis. Two of the most well-known players who played for the club were Jörgen Persson and Thomas von Scheele. These players were famous for their skills on the table tennis court.
The End of the Club
Sadly, the table tennis section of Malmö FF closed down. On July 3, 2006, the club had to apply for bankruptcy. This means they ran out of money and could no longer continue. Even though the main club closed, there were efforts to keep the youth table tennis activities going.
