Ma Liwen, born in 1971, is a talented Chinese film director. She has made several movies, especially in the 2000s. Some of her well-known films include You and Me (2005), Lost and Found (2008), and Desires of the Heart (2008).
About Ma Liwen
Ma Liwen was born as Ma Xiaoying in 1971 in Jiangxi province, China. In the early 1990s, she moved to Beijing. She studied at the Central Academy of Drama and graduated in 1994. She was a student of famous director Tian Zhuangzhuang. Another well-known director, Ning Hao, also studied with him.
Her Award-Winning Film
In 2005, Ma Liwen directed a movie called You and Me. This film was inspired by her own life. It showed what it was like living in a small apartment in Beijing. You and Me was a big success. It won Ma Liwen the Best Director award at the Golden Rooster Awards in 2005. The main actress, Jin Yaqin, also won the Best Actress award for her role in the film.
