Maggie Lawson (born August 12, 1980) is an American actress. She is well-known for playing Detective Juliet "Jules" O'Hara in the TV show Psych. She also starred in the movies that followed the show. From 2018 to 2019, she had a role in the TV series Lethal Weapon.

Early Life and Beginnings
Maggie Lawson was born on August 12, 1980, in Louisville, Kentucky. She grew up there and started acting on stage when she was eight years old.
Acting Career
Maggie began her acting journey in local plays and dinner theater shows. She even hosted a kids' TV show called Kid's Club in Louisville. When she was 15, she moved to Los Angeles to try out for her first TV show.
Early TV Roles
In her early career, Maggie appeared in many popular TV shows. She had guest roles in sitcoms like Cybill, Boy Meets World, and Home Improvement. She also appeared in other TV series such as Smallville and Fear Itself. She also co-starred in shows like It's All Relative and Crumbs.
Movies and Disney
Maggie also starred in movies. For The Wonderful World of Disney, she played two different characters in the movie Model Behavior, which also featured Justin Timberlake. In 2002, she played the famous detective Nancy Drew in the movie Nancy Drew. Other movies she appeared in include Pleasantville, Nice Guys Sleep Alone, and Cleaner.
Starring in Psych
From 2006 to 2014, Maggie Lawson was a main star in the USA Network series Psych. She played Detective Juliet "Jules" O'Hara. She returned to play the role again in Psych: The Movie in 2017, Psych 2: Lassie Come Home in 2020, and Psych 3: This Is Gus in 2021.
After Psych
After Psych, Maggie took on leading roles in other TV shows. These included the ABC sitcom Back in the Game in 2013 and the CBS fantasy sitcom Angel from Hell in 2016. She also had shorter roles in shows like Two and a Half Men, The Great Indoors, and Netflix's The Ranch. For Netflix, she also played Christa in the horror-comedy series Santa Clarita Diet and appeared in the movie Spivak in 2018.
Maggie has also starred in several movies for the Hallmark Channel. These include My Favorite Wedding and Christmas Encore in 2017, and The Story of Us and Christmas in Evergreen: Tidings of Joy in 2019.
From 2018 to 2019, she had a recurring role as Dr. Natalie Flynn in the third season of Lethal Weapon. She also appeared in Treehouse, an episode of Hulu's horror movie series Into The Dark.
In 2020, she played Kay, a main character in the FOX comedy series Outmatched. This show was about a couple raising four kids, three of whom were geniuses.
