Maggie Lawson (born August 12, 1980) is an American actress. She is most famous for playing Detective Juliet "Jules" O'Hara in the TV show Psych. She also starred in the Psych movies that followed. From 2018 to 2019, she played Natalie Flynn in the TV series Lethal Weapon.

Early life and beginnings
Maggie Lawson was born on August 12, 1980, in Louisville, Kentucky. She grew up there and started performing on stage when she was just eight years old.
Maggie's acting journey
Lawson began her acting career in local plays. She even hosted a kids' TV show called Kid's Club on WDRB Fox 41 in Louisville. When she was 15, she moved to Los Angeles to try out for her first TV show.
Early TV roles
In her early career, Maggie appeared in many popular TV shows. She had guest roles in sitcoms like Cybill, Boy Meets World, and Home Improvement. She also appeared in dramas such as Smallville and Fear Itself. Maggie also had main roles in shows like It's All Relative and Crumbs.
Movies and special appearances
Maggie Lawson starred in the Disney movie Model Behavior where she played two different characters. In 2002, she played the famous detective Nancy Drew in the movie Nancy Drew. Her other movie roles include Pleasantville, Nice Guys Sleep Alone, and Cleaner.
Starring in Psych
From 2006 to 2014, Maggie Lawson played Detective Juliet "Jules" O'Hara in the popular USA Network series Psych. She returned to play Jules in three Psych movies: Psych: The Movie (2017), Psych 2: Lassie Come Home (2020), and Psych 3: This Is Gus (2021).
After Psych
After Psych, Maggie took on lead roles in other TV shows. These included Back in the Game (2013) on ABC and Angel from Hell (2016) on CBS. She also had short roles in shows like Two and a Half Men, The Great Indoors, and The Ranch on Netflix. For Netflix, she also played Christa in Santa Clarita Diet and appeared in the movie Spivak in 2018.
Maggie has also starred in several movies for the Hallmark Channel. These include My Favorite Wedding (2017), Christmas Encore (2017), The Story of Us (2019), and Christmas in Evergreen: Tidings of Joy (2019).
In 2020, she played Kay in the FOX comedy series Outmatched. This show was about a working-class couple raising four kids, three of whom were very smart.
Personal life
Maggie Lawson was in a relationship with her Psych co-star James Roday Rodriguez from 2006 to 2014. She later married her Back in the Game co-star Ben Koldyke in 2015. They divorced in 2017.
