Mahmoud Sadeghi is an Iranian lawyer, teacher, and politician. He is known as a reformist, which means he supports changes to make society better. He was a member of the Parliament of Iran from May 2016 to May 2020. He represented the area of Tehran, Rey, Shemiranat and Eslamshahr.

Early Life
Mahmoud Sadeghi was born in Aligoudarz, Iran, in 1962. He grew up in a family with religious leaders. His father, Mohammad Hossein Sadeghi, was a religious scholar who did not agree with the government at the time. He was a student of Ayatollah Khomeini, an important religious leader. Sadly, his father passed away in 1981.
Education and Learning
Mahmoud Sadeghi studied law at university. He earned his first degree in law from the University of Tehran in 1990. He then continued his studies at Tarbiat Modares University. There, he received his master's degree in private law in 1993. He completed his doctorate degree in private law from the same university in 2000.
Career as a Teacher and Politician
Mahmoud Sadeghi is a professor at Tarbiat Modares University. He teaches about Private law, which deals with relationships between individuals.
Joining Parliament
Mahmoud Sadeghi ran for parliament several times. In 2016, he was elected as a member of the Iranian Parliament. He received many votes, showing that people supported him. He served in parliament from May 2016 to May 2020.
In 2020, he tried to run for parliament again but was not allowed to participate. He also tried to run for president in 2021 but was also not allowed to participate in that election.
Personal Life
In February 2020, Mahmoud Sadeghi shared that he had become sick with COVID-19. This was when the virus began to spread in Iran. He recovered from the illness.
